The Labor & Employment Law Committee was created in 2003 as an educational, networking and resource support group. Over the years, the Committee has presented panels at the NAPABA Annual Convention and Regional Conferences discussing the impact of developing law and legislation in several areas including collective bargaining, union organizing, discrimination, wage and hour claims, harassment, retaliation, family medical leave, disability laws, reductions in force, class actions, collective actions, global employment policies and practices, trade secrets, employee privacy and workplace safety.

The Committee’s members currently include government attorneys, law students, sole practitioners, and in-house counsel, as well as law firm practitioners from both sides of the Bar.

Committee meetings include conference calls, usually on a quarterly-basis, to present guest speakers, legal updates and discussion topics to its members. The Committee also holds its annual meeting at the Annual Convention each year and encourages any and all NAPABA members interested in labor and employment law to attend both the conference calls and annual meetings.
