About the Network

The NAPABA In-House Counsel Network consists of NAPABA members who currently practice as in-house counsel (including attorneys working for the public sector, academic institutions, and non-profits). The Network is a networking and support group that meets at least annually at the NAPABA annual meeting. In addition to the annual meeting, the Network hosts social and professional gatherings in various geographical locations.

In-House Counsel Mentoring Program | Applications Closed

The NAPABA In-House Counsel Mentoring Program has supported the professional growth of hundreds of in-house counsel for over two decades. The program pairs experienced NAPABA members with attorneys who are new to or transitioning into in-house roles, as well as seasoned in-house practitioners seeking guidance to advance their careers. Mentees gain valuable connections, broaden their networks, and receive career guidance from diverse attorneys who understand the unique challenges of in-house practice. Mentors share their leadership experience, insights, and practical skills to inspire and equip the next generation of in-house counsel.

We welcome applications from mentors eager to guide others, and from mentees—whether new, mid-level, or senior—seeking to realize their potential. Attorneys in the public sector, academia, and non-profits are encouraged to participate.

In-House Counsel Mentors and Mentees can fill out the application below. Individuals can sign up to be both a mentor and mentee but must fill out the survey twice to do so. While the questions in the application are intended to help us make the best match possible, if you are accepted into the program, we do not guarantee you will be matched with a mentor who meets your preferred qualifications.
