In-House Counsel Membership

Includes attorneys working in corporate settings who maintain an active license to practice or need CLEs.
Solo & Small Firm Attorney Membership

/ Year
For individuals who are solo practitioners or are in firms with fewer than 25 attorneys. Law firm partners who sign up in this category may purchase the add-on NAPABA Partners Directory (subject to meeting eligibility requirements).
Academia Membership

/ Year
Members of academia including all faculty, deans, and administrators who are attorneys.
Government Membership

/ Year
Government and public sector attorneys, including those who work in court systems or as judicial law clerks.
Public Interest Membership

Public interest attorneys, including all attorneys who work in non-profits, legal aid programs, and other public interest organizations.
Judge Membership

/ Year
Individuals who are judges, including those in the federal courts, state courts, and other agencies. Members at this level may join the NAPABA Judicial Council.
Retired Membership

/ Year
Individuals who are retired from the practice of law and do not need CLE credits. Retired Judges may select this level and join the NAPABA Judicial Council.
Transitional Membership

Individuals who are currently unemployed or seeking employment and are not students or retired.
Law Student Membership

/ Year
Students enrolled in ABA-accredited law schools in the U.S. or Canada. Membership note: Law students may not vote in NAPABA elections or hold elected or appointed positions within the organization.
Non-attorney Membership

/ Year
Those individuals who are not currently or have not been licensed attorneys in the U.S. or Canada. Membership note: Non-attorneys may not vote in NAPABA elections or hold elected or appointed positions within the organization.
Neutral Attorney Membership

/ Year
Individuals who serve to assist parties in resolving their disputes, such as arbitrators, mediators, and court-appointed neutrals.
