This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the NAPABA website, as well as through applications made to NAPABA through other means. On some pages, you can make requests or register to receive materials or information. The types of personal information collected at these pages are:

In addition, a voluntary profile can be completed which includes the following types of information:
- Work Experience
- Area(s) of specialty
- Type of law practice
- Positions held with NAPABA and NAPABA Affiliates
- Other bar activities
- Political Offices & Appointments
The Way We Use Information:
We use the information you provide about yourself to provide membership services, including newsletters, monthly updates, press releases, and other e-mail announcements. The majority of the information is viewable only by the NAPABA staff and the database administrator. However, our database has a feature that allows our members to specifically opt-in to having their profile searched. Any other registered member may log into the NAPABA website and search for those specific members by location, specialty, etc.
We use return email addresses to answer email inquiries we may receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.
Our Commitment To Data Security
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we, along with our database administrator Media Bits, have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
How You Can Access Or Correct Your Information
You can access your member profile at the NAPABA website by using your assigned username and password. While logged in, you may review or modify all parts of your member profile data. We use this procedure to better safeguard your information.
You can correct factual errors in your personally identifiable information by sending us a written request that specifies updates or removal of profile data.
To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.
