NAPABA PARTNERS WITH LOCAL ARIZONA GROUP TO SUPPORT TROOPS STATIONED OVERSEAS

WASHINGTON – The National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) is partnering with Packages From Home, an Arizona-based charitable organization, for its annual Day of Giving Back. During the 26th Annual NAPABA Convention, over 150 convention attendees are expected to participate in the Day of Giving Back and assemble 300 care packages for troops stationed overseas in hardship areas. NAPABA has also committed to donating over $10,000 to Packages From Home.

“This Veterans Day, we would like to honor our veterans and current military service men and women,” said George C. Chen, NAPABA convention chair and incoming president. “This is a small token of our appreciation to the people who have committed their lives to protecting our country and freedoms.”

“One of the most important things we can do right now is show our support for our military. Your troops have not forgotten about you, and I hope you have not forgotten about them,” said Kathleen Lewis, founder of Packages From Home. “Each care package we send to our deployed troops reminds them that they are supported and loved from home. Each care package gives them a little piece of home they can have while they are away.”

Please join NAPABA and Packages From Home on November 9, 2014 at 9 am at the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa in Scottsdale, AZ to assemble care packages and give back to our military service men and women.
