A Man of Quiet Bravery: A reenactment of the Fred Korematsu Case — Asian Pacific American Bar Association of the Greater Washington, D.C. Area, Inc. (APABA-DC)

  • To conduct a reenactment of the Supreme Court and Coram Nobis proceedings. Argued on October 11-12, 1944, the Supreme Court in Korematsu upheld the Constitutionality of Executive Order 9066, which ordered Japanese-Americans into internment camps in the United States during World War II.
 

8-Part Seminar Series for Philadelphia Chinatown Residents — Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Pennsylvania (APABA-PA)

  • To educate Chinatown community members on issues such as “knowing your rights” in police encounters, victims’ rights, immigration issues, landlord-tenant disputes, taxes, small business entity formation, minority-owned business certification, and personal injury claims.

Judicial Pipeline Project — Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Los Angeles (APABALA)

  • To identify potential APA judicial candidates for the state and federal bench and to help facilitate the appointment of APAs to the bench.
 

Citizenship Workshop — Asian Pacific American Bar Association of South Florida (APABASFLA)

  • To assists individuals in completing their U.S. citizenship applications and fee waivers.
 

Legal Seminar — Korean American Bar Association of Washington (KABA-WA)

  • To provide Korean foreign nationals and Korean Americans with foundational information on issues such as family, immigration, Landlord-Tenant, business, and torts/personal injury law in Korean and English.
 

Solo Practice Incubator Program — Orange County Korean American Bar Association (OCKABA)

  • To mentor and aid attorneys looking to build their own solo practice by providing them with technical assistance.
 

Free Legal Clinics — South Asian Bar Association of Washington (SABA-WA)

  • To provide free legal clinics on issues such as immigration, family law, business, intellectual property, and other issues to the South Asian community in Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Gujurati, and English.
