PERSONAL STATEMENT OF
BRYCE K. KUNIMOTO
FOR NAPABA VICE PRESIDENT FOR MEMBERSHIP
I am running for the position of Vice-President of Membership. Currently, I am finishing up my second year term as the Regional Governor for Eastern California and Nevada. As a former co-founder of the Asian Bar Association of Las Vegas, I understand the difficulties in trying to establish a local bar association and hopefully can offer solutions to assist fledging organizations grow to become local/regional NAPABA affiliates.
If elected, I hope to increase NAPABA’s membership base both in terms of the number of local/regional affiliates and general membership. I will strive to reach out to the Regional Governors with the goal of attracting more local Asian Bar Associations to join NAPABA. I will also strive to increase the benefits of the general and direct NAPABA members and will listen to the NAPABA members as to what additional benefits and services they would like to see implemented.
In this economy where the majority of the membership base and local/regional affiliates have likely been affected by the less than vibrant economy, I intend to maintain the membership fee structure implemented by my predecessor. Moreover, I will closely examine the current membership benefits to determine if additional services as it relates to job listings and the online networking database can be improved for our members. For those law students seeking employment, I hope to provide a means to connect those law students with prospective APA employers. With your input, I hope to provide more services to the NAPABA members.
I ask for your vote for Vice-President of Membership. Thank you.
