Significant Professional Experience: Vivian specializes in employment law, advising and training clients on workplace issues and the employment relationship, with an emphasis on preventative practices. Her practice encompasses a wide range of matters including personnel policies and practices, internal investigations, discrimination charges, workplace harassment, wage and hour concerns and litigation management. Vivian has a diverse client base representing regional and national employers in high technology, consulting, advertising, manufacturing, financial services, education, retail, environmental services, real estate, public sector and non-profit institutions. She assists executives in negotiating employment and separation agreements. Vivian develops and delivers customized training programs for managers, HR professionals and employees on topics including effective practices, workplace harassment prevention and investigation, diversity issues and statutory compliance. Vivian is a member of the faculty for the Certified Discrimination Prevention Training Program of the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD) and conducts workplace investigations as an independent fact finder. She is a mediator for employment and other disputes and served on the panel for the American Arbitration Association on MCAD claims. She is a frequent speaker on employment topics and is a member of the New England Corporate Counsel Association and the Women’s Business Network in the Boston area, having served as Chair from 2002 to 2005. She has served on the Steering Committee of Boston Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Section and the Massachusetts Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Section Council, having served as Education Chair.
